“Hi, my name is ____. I am calling/writing today to urgently request Governor ____’s action to stop the dangerous outbreak across____ state prisons by granting large scale releases. There are active COVID-19 cases across all state prisons and thousands of confirmed COVID cases today. Hundreds of incarcerated people have lost their lives to COVID-19 so far. I urge you to protect the lives of incarcerated people across our state by stopping all involuntary prison transfers, and instead granting mass releases without categorical exclusions, starting immediately with elderly, immunocompromised, and trans prisoners. We need to reduce the prison population and prioritize public safety for all! Thank you.”
